I’m planning on putting in a pumpkin and gourd patch in my backyard. Any suggestions as to size, type of pumpkin seed and when to plant? I’ve ready conflicting articles on all of these. Yes I do know that they won’t be ready for Halloween.

I got the pumpkin seeds(in a pumpkin) from one of those pumpkins you get a one of those roadside stands. I planted it it looked like a pumpkin plant it had pumpkin flowers but when it made the fruit it was a zukini. I do not have any zukinis in my garden.
