I planted pumpkin seeds about two months ago and they have sprouted but I don’t see any more than two baby leaves on each plant. Do they need more water or more nitrogen?
How else can you encourage plants to flourish?

Is a regular, garden variety, Halloween-type pumpkin interchangeable in recipes with a sugar pumpkin? I have two of them (not cut into jack-0-lanterns) and would like to cook them.

My friend wants to have a pumpkin-carving party on the 25th but I dont’ think a pumpkin carved on the 25th will hold much asthetic value by the 31st. Pumpkin carving is the most creative thing I do all year - I get really into it. However, I only want to carve one pumpkin. Should I carve it at the party or is there a good chance it won’t make it to Halloween?
